The King Cobra Bionomics and Conservation Workshop
King cobras are among the apex predators in the herpetofaunal world. There is no better place to understand this than at Agumbe where years of study and research have been underway. For close to two decades Gowri Shankar has been studying this animal. At this workshop he will lead the participants into the life of king cobras through semi scientific presentations, activities and discussions where he will share his knowledge and experience.

- Discussions: Research – past, present and future, people perceptions, myths and plights
- Taxonomical identification
- Activities to understand their ecology
- Attend rescue calls and learn rescue techniques
- Assist wildlife biologists in king cobra breeding biology project
